Our Hearts Were Turned

The following works are a visual representation of ancestral ties.  More specifically, they are inspired by a recent visit to Japan, the land of my heritage. Just as each work is a reflection of the previous, so are we a reflection of our lineage. The lines and shapes are symbolic of the past, present, and future, each interwoven and unrestrained by time. In our limited view, our perception of time is distorted, appearing to separate us from our ancestors and posterity. These abstract works represent a visual link of the familial bond that transcends time and space. May our hearts be turned as we come to a realization that our lives are a gift from the past.

Thank you for all of those who were able to make it to my show opening! It was so good to see you all and I love you.
